In country Sept 66 with 25th Med Bn which had no doctors, no nurses, no patients. Asked for a transfer to where I could do something and to moved to the 1st Bn Wolfhounds late December 66. Ran HHC Medical platoon till shot about July 12, 67. Combat Medic Badge, Purple Heart, Bronze star "V", and PTSD. Lt promoted to Capt. I forget most names except Dennis Mason medic who lost both legs. Gary Woods, a platoon leader into 67 lives nearby.
