RE: Spc. Bradley Thomas 1/27 Charlie Co. 03/19/2009 Thursday Yo Easy: As you already know I got to be with Bradley Thomas and his family. I gave his father the Dog Tag from around my neck the one with the Tropic Lighting Insignia on it; I have been wearing that Dog Tag for at least 20 years. He was real happy his mother and father gave me a big hug; also his two brothers were there. Rock, his father got someone to take some pictures of me and all the family. He got my address and said he would send some to me. The van they received was really nice; they also gave the young soldiers with kids, toys. I also met the new Secretary of Veteran Affairs over the whole country. I asked him about the news that said President Obama was trying to re-evaluate our disability. He also told me not to worry, they received 16,000 calls 09/18/2009, Wednesday and had to shut down the phones. This dedication was by invitation only, but you know me, I got in anyway, there was Secret Service all over the place with them black sunglasses on. RE: Spc. Bradley Thomas 1/27 Charlie Co. 03/20/2009 Friday Yo Easy, I had another doctor's appointment for my teeth. So when I went up on the 5th floor north wing. I was supposed to give my Wolfhound Flag to him and his mother. But, he was out of his room for rehab. I talked with the head nurse; she said there would not be any problem with me going back on Monday 03/23/2009. They would be more than happy to take pictures of myself and his mother, when I gave him the Flag. I will send you pictures. Bradley Thomas 1/27 Charlie Co. 03/23/2009 Monday Well brother Easy, I went back to the VA today for my Mental Health appointment. Then, went back to Bradley's room, he was out again. Bradley Thomas 1/27 Charlie Co. 03/25/2009 Wednesday Yo Easy, I finally got to see Bradley Thomas and his mother, Veronica. We had a male nurse take some pictures; he didn't do a very good job. But, Spc. Bradley Thomas opened his eyes for me and he had a good strong hand grip. So they said he was getting better, but at the same time, he still has a long way to go. I'm gonna invite Veronica Thomas to my house sometime next week for dinner. She said she would love to meet MaryAnn. I will pick her up and take her back to the hospital. Monday, September 07, 2009 4:43 PM update on visits with Bradley Thomas 8/21/09 Yo Easy, Mary Ann and I want to Thank You for letting everyone know about Joe (Father-in-law who recently passed). He was one of the kindness man you would like to know. I have made Bradley a wolfhound vest thanks to Roger'''s help with a bunch of patches, etc. I will be at the hospital to see our brother Bradley and his mother this Friday around 1:15. He seems to me to be getting a little better every time I see him. His mother loves it when any of us come to see him it makes her know that there are people like us who really care. His father Rocky was there and Veronica was getting to go home for a week(texas) Rocky will be here until Veronica comes back. Wolfhounds Forever, Charlie |
